How to Log a Life Skills or Elective Credit

The columns below show common categories and which Campfire units contribute toward each. Many units may fit in multiple categories. Use the Carnegie Unit method to determine full credits (~120 hours = 1 credit). Each unit’s product page will provide estimates. Most families combine ~3 units to create a full elective (where the entire unit, including Core Connections counts toward the elective) **Scroll left/right**

Credit categories vary by state. Always check your state’s homeschool transcript requirements. These groupings reflect the most common CTE and elective credit structures used by homeschool families. Many units count toward multiple categories simultaneously.
