**The RV Reno mentioned in the podcast can also be found over HERE:

**Couple extra tips are written at bottom**

Hello (it’s a long hello, apparently)
0 – 1:00

Hubby vs. me in writing the units
1:00 – 2:00

Sweetest girl in the world interjects
2:30 – 3:30

Traveling for hubby’s work (back story) and a disaster of a home
3:30 – 5:00

I didn’t want to create curriculum (true story)
5:00 – 8:00

It made my home much more dirty….MUCH more dirty (also a true story)
8:15 – 10:45

I lost my sanity and decided to renovate our RV, in the midst of the disaster… which only made a bigger disaster (are we beginning to see a trend?)
10:45 – 11:15

Mommy’s going mad
11:15 – 12:20

Tried everything…. the house was still dirty
12:20 – 13:30

The new idea (it works for all their different personality types!)….
13:30 – 16:50

They looked at me like my idea was one that would never work… probably about how you’re feeling right now, right? Keep listening!
16:50 – 18:50

The difference between this and a chore
18:50 – 19:20

How could a kid ever get on board with this?
19:20 – 21:35

NO negatives!
21:35 – 22:00

Equipping them for the future, AND my whole house is staying clean… without complaint (and they’re feeling happy about it!)!!! That’s like a quadruple whammy.
22:00 – 23:25

**TIPS for those who are thinking: “no way my child would do this”**
**TIPS for NO tattling!**
**TIPS for the angry/righteous child who isn’t going to follow the plan (and the solution for it!)**
…..And…. vengeance is the Lord’s [don’t worry; I don’t mean vengeance against the kids haha] 🙂
23:25 – 26:40

**TIPS for the kid who doesn’t respond to positive reinforcement!** Also, the laid back child with no motivation (and the solution)
26:40 – 27:40

Side stepping onto a soap box about personality types (forgive me)
27:40 – 31:10

Aaaaaaand off the soap box… returning to the child without motivation
31:10 – 34:15

Don’t start before doing this!
34:15 – 35:10

What about regular chores?
35:10 – 36:50

Happy dance!
36:50 – 37:05

**TIPS** First couple weeks are vital
37:05 – 39:20

6 months later…another happy dance!
39:20 – 40:00

Bathrooms?
40:00 – 41:00

Good behavior changes
41:00 – 42:15

***TIPS I FORGOT TO MENTION:
1. Go easy on the first agreements (how many points = what reward)… make it quickly and easily attainable, and then grow from there. That’s an important one.
2. What if you only have 1 or 2 kids? Only 1 or 2 areas stay clean? Nope! With fewer kids, each area is naturally less disastrous (being a smaller family with fewer people), so each child gets more areas. We do this when we have kids gone for various reasons, and it works just as well
3. What about young kids? DO IT! If they can walk and talk, they can join in on this and it will lead to even better habits!
