Through the Eyes of | A Zoologist (Full Digital Unit)

UNIT DESCRIPTION:

We’ve seen just about every textbook and curriculum there is on biology, mammalogy, zoology, the animal kingdom (etc).  Each one of them bored us to tears (and our kids, as well).  Then, we stepped into the world of real zoologists.  We learned what they do, day in and day out, and how fascinating and truly captivating their career is!  The contrast between real life and the textbooks… it was devastating.  What a tragedy that until now there was nothing out there which captured the absolute awe and wonder of the zoologist career field.  So can it be done?  Is it possible to teach ALLLL of the science and terminology needed for true education, WITHOUT sounding like a dry textbook that steals your passion?  Is it possible to step into the world of a specialist who spends their life studying and researching animals in all their splendor?  Is it possible to have a curriculum that teaches MORE than most, while diving into conservation, ethology, environmental ecology, and the science behind it all?  Is it really possible to travel to Africa throughout the lessons’ living story and discover the ins and outs of your favorite animals… with hands-on, real-world application?  IT IS!  And we’ve done it!  We’ve done it in 12 lessons, too (and we covered over 68 different species!)!  This unit is CRAM PACKED with activity options, as well.  Most of them require nothing more than items from around your home.  They are activities which turn you into a real zoologist, with our resources.  You do NOT want to miss these!  Whether you have an animal lover, a student who needs a biology credit, or a child wanting to become a zoologist….
